Bet365 boss Denise Coates paid £270m

Denise Coates has maintained her position as one of Britain’s richest executives after receiving more than £270 million from her family’s gambling business.
The joint chief executive of Bet365, which is based in Stoke-on-Trent, collected total pay for the year to March of £270.7 million, an increase of 2.7 per cent on the previous year.
While her salary increased from £213.4 million to £220.7 million, a rise of 3.4 per cent, she also claimed a 50 per cent share of the dividend, which was unchanged at £100 million.
Coates, 56, started the online gambling business with her brother John in 2000. For many years she has been one of the country’s highest-paid bosses, collecting a UK record of £469 million during the pandemic as lockdown
