Classic Minis worth £140k stolen in pre-Christmas raid

A gang of thieves stole four classic Minis worth more than £140,000 from a classic vehicle restoration workshop near Doncaster, South Yorkshire.

Police are investigating the theft of a 1976 Mini pick-up truck, a 1983 Austin Mini, a 1972 Rover Mini and a 1986 Mini.

The four high-value cars, alongside a number of rare Mini parts and 20 sets of wheels, were stolen from a warehouse on a remote farm in the village of Norton shortly before 4am on December 20.

The thieves also emptied diesel from two tanks and took another two engines and a car trailer. The total cost of the missing items is more than £140,000.
