A government task force set up to support women running fast-growth businesses has been hit by the resignation of two of its founding members over its lack of progress.

Emma Sinclair, the founder of Enterprise Alumni, a software company, and Alexandra Depledge, founder of Resi, a residential architecture platform, stepped down from the women-led, high-growth enterprise task force before its most recent meeting in November, according to the minutes published by the government.

The group’s aim is to improve the support available to growing businesses founded by women. It was created in 2022 by Liz Truss when she was minister for women and equalities and is chaired by Anne Boden, the founder of Starling Bank.
