The wife of the singer James Morrison, known for the hit single You Give Me Something, has died a year after a lifesaving kidney transplant, it has emerged, amid reports that the couple were recently estranged.

Gill Catchpole, 45, was found in her home in Whitminster, Gloucestershire, on Friday morning and the death is being treated as non-suspicious.

The couple, who met when Morrison was 17, married in 2006 and had two daughters.
