Mia Schem, who was released last month, has spoken publicly for the first time
A French-Israeli woman who was taken hostage by Hamas in the October 7 attacks and held captive for almost eight weeks has described the horrors she endured.
Speaking publicly for the first time since her release last month, Mia Schem, 21, compared the experience to the Holocaust.
In a preview of an interview Schem gave to the Israeli television station Channel 13, she said she had chosen to speak out so people could understand the true nature of the militant group, which is engaged in a war with Israel.
In the clip, Schem said: “It was important to me to reflect the true situation about people living in Gaza. Who they are, really. And about what I went through there.”
