1. A Scottish space company has appointed a new executive team, including a former director from a European space agency.

Phillip Chambers joins Orbex as chief executive, while Miguel Belló Mora leaves his post as director general at the Spanish Space Agency to become executive chairman.

Chambers has successfully worked on scaling firms previously including positions at Gumtree and Peakon.

Orbex is developing the Sutherland space port from where it hopes to launch 12 rockets each year.

The company had appointed technology veteran Martin Coates as its interim chief executive in May last year.
