Aid agencies yesterday accused Israel of using starvation as a weapon of war as humanitarian convoys into Gaza were reduced to a trickle and residents complained of growing shortages of food and water.
The number of lorries allowed through the border crossing from Egypt has fallen to eight or ten a day, according to UN officials. That means far fewer supplies have arrived in the past week than would normally be delivered in 24 hours since a breakthrough on aid was negotiated by President Biden on his visit to Israel.
