Sir, The solicitors dealing with the Post Office scandal are hoping that the ITV production Mr Bates vs the Post Office will draw out more victims (news, Jan 6). This should be unnecessary: if the Post Office is being as co-operative in the resolution of this matter as it claims, it should furnish its records of all postmasters who were accused of fraud. Surely it is up to the Post Office to present the records in its archive to lay this matter to rest.
